Fucoidan is a unique water-soluble polysaccharide with sulfate group. It is an inherent intercellular polysaccharide in all brown algae, a water-soluble heteropoly polysaccharide, and a specific bioactive substance of brown algae. The mucus seeping from the surface of brown algae, such as Mozuku, Undaria pinnatifida spore, Laminaria japonica, and kelp, the main component of it is Fucoidan.
The outstanding features of Fucoidan:
It contains fucose, and its structure naturally contains sulfate, and a small amount of galactose, mannose, xylose, arabinose, uronic acid, etc. The main active ingredient is α- L-fucos-4-sulfate.
Characteristic:
White or light yellow powder, easily soluble in water and forms transparent solution.
Main application:
Food, beverage and cosmetic, etc.
